Join us for a unique tour at the Museum of Preparedness! The Cold War hospital bunker is the only one of its kind in Sweden, as is the Brita Cannon, part of Battery Hälsingborg when the facility was in operation from 1940 to 1990. Due to preservation needs and sensitive exhibits, the Brita Cannon and the Hospital Bunker are only shown under the guidance of a guide.

About the event

The Brita cannon is a time capsule of the decommissioned Helsingborg Battery, as the facility looked once it had been walled up and never reopened. On September 25, 1991, the bunker was sealed as the last in the line of the underground Helsingborg Battery. The Brita cannon still has its original camouflage paint from the contingency years, with the name of the cannon still on the wall, painted by the soldiers during the contingency years. The Brita cannon was reopened in 2014 and opened for guided tours in 2017. The cannon is only shown under the leadership of a guide due to preservation needs.

The Hospital Bunker is Sweden's only restored fully equipped permanent medical unit in an underground bunker intended for medical care by the soldiers of Battery Helsingborg during the Cold War. The Hospital Bunker was restored in 2017 - 2018. Today, the Hospital Bunker is a "living exhibition" where visitors will experience the bunker as if we were visiting it just after the crew left. Therefore, the Hospital Bunker is only shown under the guidance of a guide.

Worth knowing!

• The ticket includes BOTH admission to the museum AND the Special Screening.

• You need to be at the Emergency Preparedness Museum 30 minutes before the tour starts. The staff at the museum box office will check you in and give you all the necessary information for the tour and visit to the museum.

• Due to limited space, the number of participants at the Special Screening is very limited.

• Please note that once you have purchased your ticket, you cannot cancel it and you cannot rebook your ticket to another date.
