Summer Theater 2026 - My name is Ritva
Summer Theater 2026 at the Armed Forces Museum. The audience will soon get to know 17-year-old Ritva, a Finnish war child who in 1946 suddenly learns that she must leave her life here in Sweden, the family she loves and her first love to return to Finland.
From July 10 to July 26, 2026, the site-specific monologue My Name is Ritva, written and directed by EliSophie Andrée and performed by Felicia Sjöström Nilsson, will be performed. The performance is an intimate, moving and site-specific theatre experience in the light of a summer evening. The audience gets to know the soon-to-be 17-year-old Ritva, one of thousands of war children from Finland, who in 1946 suddenly learns that she must leave her new life in Sweden – the family she loves and her first love – to return to a Finland where she has forgotten the language and does not know what awaits her.
The summer theater is performed at the Emergency Preparedness Museum, at the otherwise closed playhouse Sonja, whose exterior the audience can exclusively see during the performance - a unique theater experience in a historic setting.

🎟️ Tickets: 200 SEK (adult). Coffee, cake and a visit to the Museum of Emergency Preparedness exhibition about rationing, food and people's lives during World War II can be purchased for 95 SEK.

EliSophie Andrée wrote this autumn's audience and critical success The Witch, which was performed at Fredriksdal's museums and gardens, where Felicia Sjöström Nilsson also played the acclaimed lead role.
